On the eve of one of m.a.m.a. earth’s awesome charity events they contacted Lucky 19 to create an updated version of their website. M.a.m.a. earth was founded my some passionate mamas who wanted to make a difference in the world around them. They have been busy over the past few years putting together some of the hottest charity events in Hollywood. Their events have drawn artists such as Bruno Mars, Far East Movement and many awesome local musicians and artists.
They needed a new website and blog that reflected their grassroots efforts for change and we were honored to deliver!
Check out the result:
All the ‘self-touting’ in the world doesn’t mean a darn thing, but when a client says something like this about your work, you just have to share it out of sheer joy:
“Wow…. this is why working with a professional is worth the cost. I almost wept – you really [get] what I’m trying to do…” -Larry Dishong, Hog Legend
That is the kind of comment that just sums up why we do what we do! It’s all about helping our clients find and share their voice! Here’s a little bit about the project…
As the weather begins to cool and the leaves fall, I find myself inspired to make more comfort foods and cuddle up in front of the fireplace with my little munchkins. As the holiday season approaches I look forward to time spent with family. Many of our clients over the years either work with us on a continual basis or come back from time to time with new projects. It is always an honor to help out our “client family.”
At Lucky 19 it’s been a time of reunion with one of our ‘client family’, namely Larry Dishong. We first worked with Larry back in 2008 when he was launching a japanese fusion restaurant for which we designed a logo and other collateral and identity peices. It had been a couple years since we’d last worked together and we were thrilled to work with Larry again. You see, Larry is a family man and his love and commitment to his family shows in his businesses as well. This time Larry came to us with a project very near and dear to his heart–a website to honor his legendary father, Stan Dishong. If you know about classic motorcycles, chances are you know about Stan Dishong, the Hog Legend. Stan was a motorcycle engine builder and accomplished racer, long before the likes American Chopper. Larry and his son Trevor are traveling the nation collecting stories about Stan, in order to share Stan’s legendary stories and help solidify the recognition he deserves.
As with every project we started with extensive research, this time into Stan’s legendary
accomplishments, the look and feel Larry wanted to communicate and the functionality of an online community for ‘fans of Stan.’
In the end we created a logo that personifies the art, power and passion of Stan Dishong’s legend, Hog Legend; and we designed and developed a membership-based website to foster a community of hog lovers.
We invite you to visit www.HogLegend.com to learn more about Stan Dishong, the Hog Legend.
[Thanks to our great experts--Luke, Anthony & Justin who all hand a hand in making this project great!!]
Have I told you lately how much I love helping my clients share their passion with the world? Well this project was no exception, when Holly Wojahn and her daughter, Kirby Fopma came to us to design the website for their
new book, I was thrilled.
Kirby and Holly wrote a delightfully delicious children’s book called Bon Bon Voyage, in which the title character, Bridget ventures through a world of yummy desserts. In addition to the Seuss-esque prose, each page is a visual treat with Holly’s hand-painted illustrations. As if that wasn’t enough the book comes with a song collection of great tunes written and performed by the Wojahn Brothers, Holly’s brothers (& Kirby’s uncles). Bon Bon Voyage is a fun book that deserves an equally whimsical, fun website.
We had fun creating this website and we hope you’ll have fun checking it out!
Here are some clips of the music from the book:
So, what are you waiting for? Go check out the book…it would make a great Christmas present!

This site is in beta (nearly complete just a few bugs here & there). But we just couldn't wait to go live so here it is, a few blemishes & all. (ironically, similar to the humans who created it.)
